Layne Woodruff, M.Ed.

Deputy for Title VI and Title IX Compliance

Layne Woodruff (she/her) serves as the Deputy for Title VI and Title IX Compliance in Harvard’s Office for Community Support, Non-Discrimination, Rights & Responsibilities. In this capacity, she oversees bias-related inquiries, supports informal resolution pathways, and collaborates with Local Designated Resources and Title IX Resource Coordinators across the University to foster an inclusive and equitable campus climate.

Prior to this role, she coached Division I women’s lacrosse at Dartmouth College and worked at Harvard Medical School. Layne holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, both from Northeastern University.

Outside of her work at Harvard, Layne continues to coach women’s lacrosse and officiates at the NCAA Division I level. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Sacred Valley Project in Peru, which expands educational access for Indigenous girls from rural Andean communities. When not working, Layne is often out hiking, biking, or backpacking with her wife.
