On the SHARE team, Jon (he/they) is a counselor and restorative practitioner who works to support people who may have caused harm. His orientation to this work is informed by many experiences – within transformative justice/community accountability processes, men’s group work, racial justice activism, and participation in Circle-based healing spaces.  Part of Jon’s role is also to collaborate on restorative practices and community building initiatives across the University.

Professionally, Jon has worked in community-based mental health since 2009 in settings that include secondary and post-secondary education, community health, crisis and trauma response, and intensive home-based family therapy settings.  He was also the senior trainer and restorative justice specialist at the Center for Restorative Justice at Suffolk University from 2018-2021.

Jon’s clinical training comes through the Boston College School of Social Work and in year-long training programs in mindfulness-based psychotherapy and Internal Family Systems therapy.

Jon speaks English and Spanish fluently and can work with people in either language. He identifies as a white person of Irish and Eastern European descent and as queer.
