SHARE Counselor and Community Engagement Specialist 

Cherita Y. J. Cloy (she/her) is a SHARE Counselor and Community Engagement Specialist. Along with other SHARE clinicians, Cherita provides confidential support to community members impacted by harm. Her approach to therapeutic and advocacy support is based on empowerment through relational care practices. From years of experience working with trauma survivors, Cherita understands the importance of cultural, spiritual, and empathic attunement to improve one’s overall functioning.

Cherita earned a doctorate in counseling psychology and religion at Boston University, where she also worked as a crisis counselor at the Sexual Assault Response & Prevention Center (SARP).
