**SHARE Counselor and Prevention Specialist**
**Se habla Español**

In Claire’s role as a SHARE Counselor and Prevention Specialist, Claire provides confidential counseling, advocacy, and accompaniment for survivors of power-based interpersonal violence and those who support them. This includes any member of the Harvard community who has experienced sexual harassment, sexual assault, stalking, abusive relationships, discrimination on the basis of gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation, or are uncertain about an interpersonal experience and want support.

Claire also works in close partnership with the Prevention team to create, present, and analyze efforts to prevent power-based interpersonal violence within the Harvard community. Claire’s approach stems from a belief that prevention must begin with an examination of one’s own beliefs that parallels cultural and systemic change. In that vein, Claire attempts to be transparent around ways in which their identities as a white, nonbinary, queer clinician can impact power dynamics in their work.

Claire has had the privilege to live in El Salvador and provides support in English and Spanish. Claire’s understanding and practice around collectivism and cultural humility is indebted to Salvadoran wisdom around liberation theology and psychology. As a clinician, Claire commits to the values of accompaniment, empowerment, creativity, and self-determination in therapeutic practice.

Before joining the Harvard community, Claire worked at the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center and The Steppingstone Foundation within Boston Public Schools. Outside of work, Claire craves a balance of play and rest with loved ones and nature.
